Michael is the Geospatial Coordinator at Emory University and serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Environmental Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Michael teaches introductory and advanced courses at both the college and the school of public health and short workshops on urban geography, cartography, and geospatial technologies like GIS and Remote Sensing. His current research focuses on using new technologies to survey and map landscape change at ancient Greek archaeological sites. Working out of Emory University Libraries Michael’s work focuses on strengthening the cartography and GIS education program across campus as well as building data and dissemination structures to support research and instruction.
