In September 2019, BASF signed a contract with DuPont Safety – Construction, a subsidiary of DuPont Co., for the sale of the ultrafiltration membrane store Inge GmbH. According to BASF executives, Inge Gmbh and its products are more in line with DuPont and its business strategy. BASF is an acronym for the Badische Aniline and Soda factory. Founded in April 1865 by Friedrich Engelhorn in Mannheim. In 1861 Engelhorn was responsible for the construction of a gas plant and public lighting for the city council. Gas plants produced tar as a by-product, and Engelhorn used it to make dyes. BASF was founded in 1865 to produce other chemicals needed to produce dyes, including soda and acids. However, the facility was built on the other side of the Rhine near Ludwigshafen, because the Mannheim municipal administration feared that air pollution from the chemical plant could disrupt the city`s inhabitants. In 1866, the dyeing processes were also moved to the BASF site. At the April 21, 2006 meeting, Mexico informed on April 21, 2006 that it needed a reasonable period of time to implement the committee`s recommendations and decisions in this case. On 22 June 2006, the United States informed the DSB that discussions between the parties had not allowed it to reach an agreement on the reasonable time frame for Mexico to comply with the DSB`s recommendations and judgments. Accordingly, the United States has requested that the reasonable time limit be set by a binding arbitration procedure, in accordance with Article 21.3, point c) dSU.
On July 3, 2006, Mexico and the United States informed the DSB that they had agreed that the reasonable period of time for Mexico to comply with the DSB`s recommendations and decisions was nine months and eight days and will expire on January 1, 2007. However, if the Mexican Congress adopts contributions between December 1 and December 31, 2006, the reasonable period of time is 10 months and seven days, which expire on January 31, 2007. In light of this agreement, the United States withdrew its application for arbitration pursuant to Article 21.3, point (c) (d) William Henry Perkin`s discovery in 1857 that aniline could be used in the manufacture of intensive dyes had led to the commercial production of synthetic dyes in England from aniline from coal tar. BASF has hired Heinrich Caro, a German chemist with experience in the dye industry in England, as its first research director. Caro developed a synthesis for alizarine (a natural pigment in the madder) and ran for a British patent on 25 June 1869. It turns out that Perkin applied for an almost identical patent on June 26, 1869, and the two companies reached a reciprocal commercial agreement on the procedure. Sodium carbonate (soda) was produced by the Leblanc process until 1880, when the much cheaper Solvay process became available. BASF established theirs and then bought them from Solvay.
Bombings took place in the autumn of 1943 and the bombardment of saturation caused extensive damage. Production was virtually halted at the end of 1944. On October 7, 2005, the panel`s report was distributed to members. The panel found that 75% of BASF`s shares are held by institutional investors (BlackRock more than 5%), 36% of the shares are held in Germany, 11% in the United Kingdom and 17% in the United States. In 2006, BASF was included in the Climate Management Index for its efforts on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. In May 2009, a BASF plant in Hannibal, Missouri, UNITED States, was accidentally taken to the Mississippi River.
