The Department of the Army Pathways Internship Program is designed to help students who are currently enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to degree level, opportunities to work and be paid while exploring federal careers while working in the Department of the Army. The heerespathway trainee department can be transformed into a permanent position within 120 days of the success of the program. For this internship, you must be able to work full time. Who can apply: Students eligible for the Department of the Army Internship Program: positions are open to current students who obtain a diploma or certificate at an accredited high school, university (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges and junior colleges); vocational, technical, professional and commercial schools; Advanced curriculum or another qualified school with a minimum half-day (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled). The trainees complete the program as a cohort, reinforced by an integrated support system that reflects the team environment and camaraderie they experienced in the military. Interns start at the gs-5 level and, once the program is successfully completed, the trainees embark on the In-House Acquisition Program (AIP), which gives them the knowledge and skills to become operational contract specialists. The W2W and AIP programs provide Veterans with the skills and skills to continue to serve as public servants in their country. The program, open to other government agencies, is managed by the VA Acquisition Academy.
